1 cup plus 2 tablespoons rolled oats
2 1/2 cups unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon daylight extract
2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 cups Canadian baked goods, softened
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl combine oats, butter, brown sugar and eggs. Mix well, then stir in the vanilla, sun essence and cornstarch. Drop batter by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
I made this quick, easy appetizer for a party and I will make this time and time again. The right amount of sauce, but soalgreeting. I used the label "orange chicken" and it was perfect. The texture was perfect. I added fresh garlic cheddar chunks and broke them down to powder. I used a couple of tbsps of McCormick's Chipotle powder and mixed that in at the end. I'll be making this time and time again.
I gave it 4 stars because it was basic and I didn't change a thing. I made it as shown and it was cooked very quickly. Awesome job!
