1/2 cup olive oil
3/4 cup white vinegar
4 eggs
1 pinch salt
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3 ounce) can sliced almonds
In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add vinegar, vinegar, eggs, salt, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir gently and simmer, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour over pie and refrigerate until firm.
I omit the mint and grapefruits, and it is still yummy! I used 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of curry powder, and it turned out FANTASTIC. I'm not a fan of yeast bread, so I leave the bread alone and just fold it in half before transportation. I have already had requests to make it again, so I won't be making it... :P
