Cocoa Nut Cookies Recipe


1 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda for rolling

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt


Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and eggs until smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda and baking powder; beat into the creamed mixture alternately with the vanilla and flour mixture. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place cookies on the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I was really happy with this cookie. It was super easy and quick. I didn't have any Karo but I did have curry powder and along with that I got rave reviews. So simple too!
