Cuban Spaghetti Sauce Recipe


1 tablespoon vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

3 tablespoons tomato paste

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 (8 ounce) package shredded Italian sausage

3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 cup water


In a medium bowl, mix together oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, rosemary, tomato paste, salt, Italian sausage, vinegar, oil, oregano, chili powder, parsley and sugar. Mix well, cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.

No changes, other than using Krusteaz sugar cookie mix instead of Betty Crocker. These were excellent--my husband gave them 10 stars, although way too rich for my taste. This is an easy & delicious keeper recipe.
