1/2 cup boiling water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limes, thawed
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen tomatoes, thawed
1 cup milk
1 (2 ounce) can chopped pineapple, drained
In a saucepan, melt the creamed oatmeal and brown sugar. Stir in the frozen limes, tomatoes, milk and pineapple. Cook over medium heat until thickened and desired consistency is reached.
