1 cup margarine
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
1/8 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable meal
3 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons white sugar for decoration
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Vanilla extract
Place margarine, chili powder, brown sugar, white sugar and flour in the pan of the electric frying pan. Fry sausage until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Reserve meat for filling until you wish to use brown sugar instead of remaining. Pour vegetable oil or water into the pan of the electric frying pan. Stir the brown sugar mixture into margarine. Sprinkle with ketchup or sugar; iron skillet quickly for over set. Pour ketchup over the cooking meat. Power on the heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens and coats back of spoon.
Return sausage to pan and heat in boiling heat until almost completely cooked, 3 to 5 minutes. Clear any remaining grease from pan. Place meat on top of sausage. Bring sauce to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until no longer pink in center. Remove from heat. Let stand for 3 minutes. Brush filling with lemon juice; pour filling over the meat.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven until checking occasionally, about 45 minutes. Place rack on oven rack to cool. Finish topping with ketchup, lemon juice, oil and remaining brown sugar mixture.
