1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup nonfat baking mix
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups Tarragon
In a small saucepan, mix the hot water, baking mix, butter, egg and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Simmer for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low. Stir Tarragon into saucepan. Cook, whisking constantly, for several minutes, or until thickened and translucent. Remove from heat and stir in with Tarragon. Allow to cool.
These turned out great. Would make again. I might try adding a whole button once they're all mixed and I feel confident that it'll make enough batter to cover the square of biscuits.
