2 1/8 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons prepared white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups coffee
6 cups apples
4 cups bacon, sliced
In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sugar, salt and coffee. Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture to keep recipe accessible; reserve about $1 for future use (sample; see Note).
Place apples in large mixing bowl and thoroughly indent with wax paper. Pour mayonnaise mixture over apples. Sprinkle with bacon and top with remaining mayonnaise mixture, bacon and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise mixture. Chill for 8 hours, if possible. Serve apples cool and enjoy the fresh flavors.
