2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup whiskey
1 cup chocolate syrup
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, salt and oil until light and fluffy. Beat in the vinegar, stirring constantly until well. Mix in the white vinegar. Use the mixer or paddle attachment to mix in the sugar, apple cider and whiskey. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 7 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
