1/2 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 cube beef bouillon cube
1 cup beef broth
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 egg yolks
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, honey, bouillon cube, beef broth, milk, maple syrup, egg yolks and bouillon cubes. Mix well and roll the mixture into fruit shape. Place it in a shallow baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely.
Wonderful fruit, however, I reduced the heat to just 2/3 and added Salt and Pepper to taste. Even with this slight recipe buff, the pears still managed to have a delicious flavor. My only negative comment is that 1/3 of the mixture (45g pears) is missing the oil. I attempted to add some by weight, but it didn't seem to help. I may try a bit of baking oven baking to thin the mixture. Once blended, it's ready for eating.
