1.6 teaspoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 (8 ounce) can chopped pecans (optional)
In large bowl, stir together sugar, garlic powder, salt, white pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours to let flavors mix.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Spread a piece of foil into a 9x9 inch baking dish. In a separate shallow bowl, combine pecans and 1 cup of the pecans. Spread over foil and place over a small baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.
Bake covered for 40 minutes and allow to cool.
