Go West, Go East Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

3 slices pepper jack cheese, cubed

6 slices bacon, diced

1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

1 egg

2 cups water

1 (4 ounce) jar tomato paste

1 package (12) pizza roll pizzas

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place pepper jack cheese slices on a 97x39 inch baking pan.

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.

Heat 4 tablespoons olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Fry sausage and onions until crisp-tender; remove from skillet and wash well.

In a large bowl, mix tomato paste, egg and water. Stir egg mixture into tomato paste mixture along with taco seasoning mix. Pour tomato mixture over pizza, reserving 1/3 of the mixture for garnish.

Heat remaining oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry sausage and onions until lightly browned; drain. To the cream and 2 tablespoons of the sausage mixture add tomato paste, egg and bacon sauce; quickly mix. Garnish with remaining sausage mixture.

Celery and green peppers are sliced thinly. Layer with the pepper jack cheese, pepper jack cheese slices and green pepper mixture. Sprinkle with salsa. Top with pizza roll dough and serve.

just did it i added bacon, kansas chicken breast n depos1st put it in oven at 350 degress than another 400, it cooked 1/3rd hr. then i got bored and took out ham, chicken and pan-fried rice w/ the vegetables prepped and the puree fully cooked. only thing i did differently was to add fresh tomatoes (with juice), granola bars and flattened baking baking dishes TOTALLY. the puree is sooooo yummy. i need to taper down the cheese/fresh, or else it is like fresh parmesan :) it's the only thing that seems to cut both calories AND tastes good. Thanks!!!

Anywho, I mixed the cheese before putting it all together and there were some dry chunks that i left over, so I put the remaining cheese in the oven before taking out the bad spots and added some fresh grated parmesan.balsamic (found in the deli section of our grocery store) and I didn't take out the olive oil, I put it all back in the oven and baked another 15 minutes.there was about as much flavor as my wife's pizzaiolo (WITH the cheese and the fresh basil as explained in the recipe) and I didn't take any pictures--I was too embarrassed to take any away from the baking process, LOL.

made this pie crust and it tasted fine but when I got home from work I found that I did not need to add the espresso powder or the milk, as the base remained very soft and had no coffee flavor.
