Florentine Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

1 egg

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons white sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 eggs

1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

1 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

In a medium bowl, whisk the egg yolks together. Stir in oil, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs, lemon zest, and mayonnaise. Beat in lemon zest.

Transfer egg mixture to the electric blender or food processor or the bowl with the egg yolks. Blend the mayonnaise and lemon zest into the blender mixture. Transfer mixture to the bowl with egg yolks. Blend the marinated marinade into the blender mixture. Transfer mixture to the bowl with egg yolks. Blend the lemon zest into the mayonnaise mixture. Stir in the lemon zest and mayonnaise to form a smooth paste.

It's my first time making it and I'm surprised how easy it is! It tasted different from some of the things I've tried, but I was succesful. It was bland, but I guess I'll save the broth/seeds/mushroom mix for next time. I could see using brown sugar instead of white, but we used orange zest and it was syrup laden. I made vegetarian options out of the ground beef but it only made enough to fill one container so it wasn't much. It was also quite bulky. We used a combination of ground beef and vegetarian options (used orange blossom desiccated) and it was pretty darn good. It was devoured by my husband and left an absolutely wonderful flavor. After digging into the thickener, I think I'll use d
