Golden Cornflakes Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package butter flavored Jell-O mix

1 cup boiling water

2 cups milk

2 cups cornflakes cereal

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

4 (6 ounce) bars Jell-O-filled marshmallow creme

2 cups cornflakes cereal

Directions

In a medium saucepan, heat boiling water to boiling. Remove from heat, and stir in milk and cornflakes cereal. Stir gently and remove from heat.

In a large bowl, mix boiling water with milk and cornflakes cereal. Stir strongly into marshmallow creme mixture. Pour over marshmallow mixture and spread evenly in greased 8-in. round cake pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Immediately remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Using knife, loosen cake from corner of pan. Peel bottom and top off with sharp knife. Add marshmallow creme and whip topping to cake; frost edges of cake. Remove from oven.
