1/4 cup tap water
3 tablespoons chopped celery
1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
1/2 (9 pound) whole chicken, cut into 4 portions
In a small pot, combine tap water and celery and saute for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Stir in green bell pepper and parsley. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
