6 large meal-size marshmallows, halved
4 large brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (16 ounce) can frozen orange soda
1 (14.5 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 cup finely chopped almonds
1 cup chopped walnuts
Spread the marshmallows evenly on the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, lemon zest, fruit of your choice, marshmallows, orange jelly, water chestnuts, chopped almonds and walnuts. Mix just until well blended. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
