Onion Spread Recipe

Ingredients

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup white rice

1 veal, white and pink onion, peeled, more to cover

3 tomatoes, cut into 22 ounce sections

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Directions

Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Slit middle of meat slices, leaving 1 1/2 inch on both sides.

Bake meat on both sides for about 7 to 8 minutes; reduce heat to medium and add onion. Cook 20 minutes or until meat is tender and almost cooked through. Serve with tomato and green pepper and vinegar for dipping.

This is really good and very easy to make. I had something on hand too (thank you for the recipe) so I thought I'd give it a spin. Here are the changes that I made... I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil, took half of a large yellow onion and 2 cloves of garlic, and added a bunch of hot sauce. Seriously good and unique. Next time I'll take it to a party and see how it goes.
