3/4 cup butter
2 1/3 cups white sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 9 inch round pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the vanilla and salt.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. When cool, place pies in the refrigerator.
