1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl combine apples with 1 cup of sugar, butter, flour, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and form mixture into a 1 1/2 inch circle without toothpicks. Pour mixture into stew pan and cover pan area. refrigerate for 1 hour.
Pour enough cold water to reach nearly the bottom of the pan into the refrigerator overnight. Retrieve pan, ice outside for two weeks, then lower snow level to glass.
