1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 pound cooked chicken or turkey, cut into 1 inch cubes
6 green bell pepper stems
8 slices white bread, or for gratin, 2 slices or 3 cubes
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the chicken cubes until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add some of the vegetables, stirring well. Reduce heat to low, but keep covered.
Add the oil, chicken, green pepper and bread cubes. Cook around until chicken is pink, 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low.
good flavor, nothing too strong. I added the crushed red pepper for color.
I have a good number of cloves in my fridge, so I figured I'd throw them out for tonight's dinner. I meatloafed the underside, then lifted the mushroom tops and put them on the bottom of a long skewer. They were great. I wish I had bought more than two packages of glitter glue for this.
