Cocoa Almond Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 ounce butter flavored jelly, chilled

3/4 cup French vanilla

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 cup crushed cornflakes cereal

Directions

Beat the butter flavored jelly, vanilla, sugar and milk with an electric hand mixer until well blended. Stir in the egg and almond extract. Beat mixture slightly until stiff peaks form and dough is cracked. Place batter in a large bowl.

Place no larger than a 3/4 inch cookie dough flat onto and lightly greased an 8x8 inch baking pan. Using a piece of waxed paper, tightly roll dough out to 1/4 inch thick. Mix together sugar, milk, egg, almond extract and crushed cornflakes cereal. Place in the prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cookie comes out clean. Cool completely. Chill before cutting into bars using metal or plastic cutters.
