6 tablespoons butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons milk
5 cups whole pecan
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round baking pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Beat in the milk, stirring constantly. Mix together the flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into 1 inch squares.
