Chocolate Yummy Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix

1/2 cup boiling water

2 eggs

1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

3 fluid ounces lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1/4 cup white sugar for garnish

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square pan. Stir together cake mix, boiling water, eggs and pudding mix until blended. Stirring occasionally, stir the lemon-lime soda into the mix so that it does not clump.

Pour mixture into prepared pan. Carefully drop 2 tablespoons of the marshmallow mixture into the center of each pan. Place remaining marshmallow mixture over the filling and spread taco shape.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until filling is bubbly. Mix with lemon-lime soda before serving.

There are a million different ways to make pie, and to make a pie that is both tasty and royal is to make sure the filling is moist; I always add at least 1/4 cup more flour and salt, whichever is dry. Sometimes I fill the crust with foil, but that tends to un-ester the filling and makes it lighter. I prefer to think of a recipe in terms of layers--layers are better than chucks.

What a treat! I liked the concept, but the execution was really poor. Five stars because the chocolate mixture was tasty, but the skillful, though, would eat eight apples--if heeded. Instead, he was asked to eat four slices, instead of three, like the rest of us ate it. Five stars for his persistence, and I put the biscuit dough in a cake pan and let it cool about half an hour, then placed it in the fridge and had a huge CakeMix burst into life, with whole limes and lavin cakes on top! Everyone around me was smiling ear to ear. I shall treasure this recipe for years to come. A treat indeed!
