1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons butter
1 1/3 cups milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
1 (8 ounce) can sliced almonds
1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh strawberries
1 (6 ounce) can sliced cherries
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease second-row oven racks or line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and butter until well blended. Stir in milk, egg, vanilla, cream of tartar and almonds; mix well. Fold in strawberries, cherries and almonds. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Turn oven off and allow to cool completely before removing from pans.
Place rolls onto racks and cool completely on waxed paper.
