1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 (12 ounce) package eggwhite cookies, crushed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, flour and baking powder. Beat in the egg, one at a time. Combine the brown sugar, baking powder and egg, gradually add to the creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Divide the dough into four equal pieces; shape into rounds. Brush lightly with the egg white mixture. Place on the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
