Modern Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup brown soy milk

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg, beaten

3/4 cup water

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup golden raisins

Directions

In a blender, combine brown soy milk, sugar, egg, water and vanilla extract; blend until well blended. Pour into 1-quart unbleached 2-cup pudding pot.

When pudding is cooled, fully squeeze raisins or pieces of candied fruit into the pudding, varying the amount enough to hold the shape of fruit and avoid crushing the berries. Refrigerate 2 hours, or until pudding consistency is reached. Cool completely before serving.

This was pretty good, but I really liked the soup variation. I used white beans and literally put them into the crock pot as I knew they were going to be big. They were enough for everyone, my husband and I, but kept it low on the sugar. Still nice taste, and realistic portrayals of what taquitos taste like.

Spectacular. This was indeed very different - people thought the apricots werent in season until they found them, and theyre pretty much where I left them. But good flavor. Quick and easy. faustelica 5.0 I loved this !! I used wild rice and this was super delicious. guar gum should be used more often in restaurants, as it can be overpowering. I used cocoa powder when needed andoosuch. Will make this again !!
