1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup diced onion, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 apples
1 (10 ounce) can peeled and cored tomatoes with juice
2/3 cup minced onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried marjoram
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces Italian sausage
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, oil, mushrooms, apple, tomatoes, onion, thyme, salt, oregano, basil, marjoram, garlic and sausage. Mix well, cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours before cutting into sandwiches.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Remove meatloaf from marinade and place in a 9x13 inch pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until browned.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine mozzarella cheese and meatloaf. Sprinkle marinade mixture over mozzarella cheese and meatloaf. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
These were amazing! They were hidden away in my kitchen! I had them for lunch and they were gone in less than an hour! They were super easy and very nice!
