Cinnamon Crisp Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup butter, softened

2 cubes white sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

3 tablespoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

7 cinnamon sticks

3/4 teaspoon cloves

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg until smooth. Beat in the flour mixture. Drop a cinnamon stick into the center of each cookie and roll the edges inward to seal.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until brown on top. Cool cookies slightly. When cool, transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
