Overnight Lemon Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon custard mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon cream pudding mix

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant lemon custard granules

1 (14 ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 cup blueberries

1 (17.5 ounce) can mandarin oranges

4 cups flaked coconut

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

In a large bowl, mix lemon cake mix, lemon pudding mix, lemon cream pudding mix, lemon custard mix, lemon cream pudding mix, lemon custard mixtures and lemon cream mixtures. Mix well. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pan.

To make lemon custard frosting: In a saucepan, combine lemon-lime soda, lemon-lime soda, lemon-lime soda and lemon cream. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in lemon-lime syrup.

To make lemon cream frosting: In a small bowl, mix lemon-lime soda, lemon-lime soda, lemon cream and lemon-lime cream. Mix well. Frost cooled cake.
