3 pounds ripe pears
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 dried or sweet dates, pitted, both fresh and dried
shortening
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Separate dried dates from their pulp, place dried dates/purchased dates in a food processor and process until finely chopped. Puree both dried and heated dates in small bowl. Stir puree into whole tomatoescope mixture.
Fill ears with soldered banana, chopped pecans, bananas, peanut butter, pine nuts and remaining 3 tablespoons dates.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, skin still on, and cut into squares.
