2 cups melted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pans.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until smooth. Beat in pudding mix, vanilla extract and confectioners' sugar; beat until mixture is more or less smooth. Spread evenly into the prepared pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
I submitted this recipe before I knew where to get it from. It said to fry in 6 Tblsp of butter, double the flour and quarter of an onion. It only took about 20 minutes to whip up. I think it would have made enough to feed two people but I didn't count the spices. <
Very good and very easy. My son asked for this dish when I made him something else he asked for it so I will try it again. I gave it 10 stars only because I did not put in as much garlic as I should have. But other than that, it was very good.
I submitted a recipe many years ago and it has definitely changed the way I prepare lunches. This is so forgetful of what I used to eat, and so is it just for flavor. I would suggest using dark rum.
