2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Sift together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, baking oats, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla until blended. Beat in flour mixture. Stir together buttermilk, a thick glaze, and cinnamon. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until slightly brown. Cool slightly on baking sheets before removing from pan. Cool completely on wire rack, placing on wire rack to cool completely.
