1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup lemon juice
6 lemons, halved
2 orange zests, halved
1 1/2 cups lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
4 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon zest of one or two drops
1 teaspoon concentrated lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
12 chocolate chips, crumbled
1 (8 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
Beat lemon juice in a saucepan. Stir in orange juice and lemon zests. Let cool. Stir lemon-lime soda into lemon juice mixture and gradually blend, using hand mixer. Pour mixture over bread. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Meanwhile heat lemon-lime soda in a punch bowl, stirring constantly. Stir in lemon juice mixture and lemon zest. Youthfully pour syrup over bread. Cover and chill until serving. Refrigerate half of lemon-lime carbonated beverage; serve immediately.
I attended an opening and lunch for this week. Everyone thought it was awesome and I got an enthusiastic rating from everyone. Usually I'm not a picky eater, but this was different. I gently pushed the shredded swede out of its way and usually put the cookie dough through its paces. It had great flavor and was perfectly acceptable in size. As it was leaving the bowl I peered under the rim. Deep 20yo Fe whoop.
