These were okay. I'll work on the cayenne pepper! Otherwise, okay.

These chocolates were awesome. I made very few changes as posted in other reviews and still turned out great. I posted a candy thermometer halfway through baking time so it cooled down before it rocketed into the air. The 17 cookies turned out perfectly. The only thing I did differently was add 1-2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes to my mixture before baking it. Baked for about 3 hours and then allowed to cool. The chocolate chips were a brilliant idea - they gave it a nice pop of color and added flavor. I will definitely make this again.

I made these for valentines day. I was asked if I could make them. I guess not all of them... I put a little gold leaf in the middle of each one. Came out of the oven just as my husband came home from work. I gave a little ribbon with butter because I forgot to add the dry ingredients. Will definitely make them for other occasions.
