4 cups water
3/4 cup soy sauce
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato paste
3 (10.5 ounce) cans beer
Bring water, soy sauce, tomato paste, and beer to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in beans and rice. Simmer for 10 more minutes, stirring constantly.
I loved this!! It was simple to make, and I felt quite accomplished. :) My personal nutritional values listed for each recipe ("was it genetically modified according to label?" "Did the grower provide enough protein?" "... Is the food combination nutritionally complete ("food groups") for me ("guys"). This was particularly helpful since I didn't eat meat, so I didn't take into account its nutritional value. Reference info is easy to come by, and it can be a little overwhelming.
