Double Crust Beef Burgundy Recipe

Ingredients

1 (10 ounce) package dry brown gravy

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon mustard powder

2 tablespoons dry mustard

salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, mix brown gravy, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, salt and pepper.

Remove the top of a 10 inch Dutch oven gratin pan, and fill the bottom with the brown gravy.

Cover, and place in the preheated oven for about 1 hour. Add the pan juices from the pan, and continue to simmer for about 40 minutes.

Remove pan from heat, and turn the pan upside down. Pour the gravy mixture into the bottom of the pan, and stir gently until the gravy is thickened.

I followed the recommendations of one reviewer and made this dish tonight for my family (children included). All it had going for it was good flavor, but nothing spectacular. I would make it again, but this time make half the sauce and leave the red for garnish.
