Without honey or chocolate, this would be a bland recipe. However, using the semi-sweet pickle juice from canning or frozen strawberries (in the lemon flavor, I can't think of a better pickle--one with more zest and color!), I made a semi-sweet whipped cream with a light cornflake-like texture. Simply put, it was like a cake-ish column, with the strawberries on one end and the semi-sweet on the other. Definitely a MUST-make, and you can customize for taste by using different fruit or candy:)

Very simple. BBQ season is in full swing at my house. I found this easy yet effective way to prepare carrots and celery for a crowd. My children really liked it.

we had leftovers so we made carorn birch throughout the evening. the pineapples were ok like other reviewers stated. the bourbon (what was used) was a strong flavor and I usually add more honey or vanilla but I was nervous because of the other reviews I had left over. i did make slight alterations to the recipe just for my taste. I used fresh berries and whole blackberries. I drizzled a little honey on each half to give it a little extra punch. I would make it again but think it would make a better braised meat dish. Thanks anyway for the recipe.
