Biscuits for Granny's Christmas Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese and cream cheese mixture

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.

Peel cheese slices and place slices in a blender or food processor. Pulse until smooth. Remove cheese slices from blender or food processor, reserving 1/4 cup for garnish.

I remember my mother (also of Norwegian heritage) serving this cake to us as children, and we always wanted the pie. When I gave it a second thought, well, it definitely needs some cracking. I did use butter instead of oil, method is still flawed, and did use graham cracker crumb topping. The dough directions are a bit vague, so I kind of winged it...
