2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple/banana-flavored candy-coated lemonade with juice
1 cup chopped black walnuts
1/2 cup butter
1 2/3 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract and crushed pineapple/banana-flavored candy-coated lemonade.
Drop cookie by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until mostly set. Cool on cookie sheets for 2 minutes.
This recipe was truly difficult. I baked the rolls at 425 for 10 minutes and managed to wring out every last drop of the lemon. I seasoned them with a little salt, pepper, Old Fashioned, cayenne, and a few grinds from my pepper mill. I assembled the rolls into buns--well done!
