8 ounces ground beef
1 cup vegetable oil
2 (8 ounce) containers dry rice
1 small onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef, vegetable oil, rice, onion, dry mustard, oregano, pepper and parsley. Shape into approximately 6 large steamer-size patties. Place patties into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Cool slightly and serve warm.
