Boston Recipe

Ingredients

2 stalks celery, finely chopped

2 green onions, sliced in rounds

6 tablespoons cider vinegar

1 cup cherry juice

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 tablespoon dried bittersweet licorice

2/3 cup milk

8 slices Swiss cheese

Directions

In a medium pot over high heat, combine celery and green onions. Cook over medium heat until heated through. But, not dangerously hot.

Stir in vinegar, cherry juice, onion powder, sugar, salt, and bittersweet licorice, and stir. Bring to a slow boil.

Fluff cheese slices and drizzle over soup, if desired, but avoid spreading with cling film but keep covered. Shake vigorously after serving, topped with celery and red peppers.

These were pretty good, but the texture was lacking. I'd double the salt, too.

I'm excited to try this =) I will be letting you know how it goes.. although I read that it would take 5 days to make, but this recipe says 4 hours? I'm not complaining .. just curious

I frequently make changes to this recipe. I often use Ground Beef Seasoning mixed with Cornstarch. I have also swapped the Boca's Burger Crumbles for my GM Choice McNuggets and Mild Yellow Spices. This recipe calls for Dry Rubs of Condensed Rosemary oil. I have also added my OWN choice of Herbs, such as Smokey Apple Tomatoes. I have also used Ground Beef Breast. I have greatly increased the serving size and have omitted the lettuce and mushrooms. I would recommend adding at least 1 lb of ground beef for this recipe. I used Moment's ground beef and it was flavorful. FOUR STARS IN THE PAN!!!
