1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/6 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. Beat in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and milk. Mix in the milk, egg and vanilla. Combine the flour mixture with the lemon juice, stirring just until moist. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until set. Allow cookies to cool completely before removing from cookie sheets to wire racks to cool completely.
