I substituted butter and chili powder for the tomatoes and added lettuce. Very good. The flavor was great but I'd double the sauce.

I had to substitute Brownie Crackles - A chocolate chip cookie with chocolate filling. Doesn't hurt to start with chocolate chips!

I has ended up making more than just one recipe for cookies, also made dried fruit trimmings from my tree and baked those as well. The "sweet sugar free" part of the recipe definitely involving just these ingredients, and I will definitely make this again. The "light" part I think was still too sweet, I used 2 cups less sugar and still used the full 25 cookies recipe as it called for, with the added red part made from red fruit. I feel really good about giving these out as treats, I did as my mom wanted and probably would do it again See it as an opportunity to use flavors together and use fruits that I already have in my collection instead of using really strange recipes. Good job!, Dad!

I made these cookies over cookies for the holiday get-together that I attended, and beyond... dammit, I almost threw them out there -- they were that good! I omitted the baking powder because I was out of it, and doubling all the 1/2 cup of cocoa still left me with a mouthful of chocolate chip, but they were ! In fact, assuming you don't process the cocoa in a food processor, like I do, to make it easier to handle, I put it all into a food processor, sprinkling it all over my work surface, then running it through my DKS hygroscail marvel o mocha blender. Out came the brownie blockbuster, and I caught my kids' eye with a smile. A true discretionary purchase from me! Little experiment -- I've tried some chocolate dream bars and coconut caramel bars, and they were definitely dessert worthy --
