1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the 1 1 cup flour, baking powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix in the egg, oil, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup flour mixture. Mix in the milk and brown sugar. Drop by with spoon, using approximately 1/2 cup flour.
Drop by spoon from 1/4 cup of the flour mixture into the bottom of a greased or parchment lined 12x18 inch loaf pan. Spread the remaining flour mixture across the bread pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking for 2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
