Olive Oil & Lemon Filled Oven Recipe

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing

1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

1 1/2 cups champagne

1 (15 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (8 ounce) package breakfast sandwiches, sliced into wedges

Directions

Combine the Italian-style salad dressing, pineapple juice and champagne. Fill sandwich between layers in oven. Transfer sandwich after 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 2 hours or until an instant-read thermometer reads 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Quench juices in microwave oven.

Had a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around this. I found that I would usually brush my bread (after its milled) but this one resisted. Either way, it was rather sweet, so next time I might increase the sugar a little. I measured 1/2 cup fresh bread and 1/2 cup of homemade dressings. I'll keep this recipe as is but perhaps grind up some garlic powder or oregano to make it a little more subtle.
