1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup apple pie filling
1 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10 inch springform pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter and sugar. Remove from heat and whisk in cinnamon, vanilla and oats. Beat egg and lemon juice into butter mixture. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until filling is bubbly. Remove from oven and serve immediately. Allow to cool. Serve warm or cold with fruit preserves, if desired.
