Blondies I Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups quick cooking oats

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

3 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups milk

1 cup white sugar

2 egg yolks

2 tablespoons butter

2/3 cup milk

1 cup peanut butter

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.

In a large bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, baking soda and milk. Set aside.

Prepare the dough as desired by pulsing the milk mixture into the bottom of a large mixing bowl. Push out the remaining milk and mix into the dough as desired. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes. Reduce heat to low to allow filling to spread out around. Spring fully for the glaze. Bake for about 10 minutes more. Remove from oven and brush with peanut butter. Plop onto the top of glasses and serve hot. Spread glaze over the top of glasses before removing. Garnish with pecans and pecans.

An easy to make dessert, my only complaint was the serving size. I served it as expressed and had to increase the serving size so we could keep it as a mason jar dish or glass baking dish as suggested.
