1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups milk
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups confectioners' sugar for garnishment
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat pudding mix, milk and butter until smooth. Mix in brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract and butter; pour mixture into baked pastry shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until set. Cool completely on wire rack. Garnish with brown sugar and vanilla extract.
