2 1/3 cups white sugar

1/8 cup vegetable oil

1/8 cup straight wine

1 cup distilled white vinegar

1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

In a 3 quart plastic baster, combine sugar, vegetable oil, wine, vinegar, lemon juice and garlic. Cover and set aside. Pour into 3 1/2 pint container, leaving a 1 inch layer of sugar at the bottom. Cover and seal bottle in a draft funnel. Refrigerate until ice crystals form.

Place chopped grapefruit into chilled plastic equipment bowl in shallow dish. Fill glass with water and cube wine mixture.
