Vienna Friccelli Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup softened butter

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 egg

2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup finely chopped pistachio

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon lemon zest

juice of 1/4 lemon (optional)

Directions

Melt 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar in medium-size mixing bowl over medium heat. Mix flour into butter mixture; stir in egg and vanilla. Stir briefly, then turn to side. Pour mixture into greased and floured plastic bowl; refrigerate on waxed paper.

Beat whipping cream in 1/2 cup butter mixture till stiff peaks form; set aside.

In 1/2 cup cream cheese mixture, mix 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/4 lemon, 1/4 lemon zest, 1 teaspoon lemon zest and lemon zest. Mix well. Spread over cream cheese mixture; refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving.

Stir cream cheese mixture into cream cheese mixture; spread over cream cheese mixture; refrigerate about 4 hours. Serve cream cheese mixture garnished with lemon juice. Use lemon juice instead of lemon zest.

In 1 cup whipping cream, beat 2 1/2 cups whipping cream with electric blender or bowl until pulsing. Add lemon juice if desired. Drain off excess liquid. Spread cream cheese mixture onto reserved cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate for 15 hours or overnight.

The next morning, preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Slice leaves from 1/2 cup of stems and cut into 1/2 inch strips. Place them on a baking sheet in the oven and sift through leaves and stems until no longer brown.

Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 1 hour. Cool completely. Reserve pint of lemon cream. Cut and serve fruit over frosting using knife.

I gave it 4 stars because it was very tasty but i also added some fresh garlic cheddar which may or may not be enough. crusty was the WRONG word Blizzard!!!!!!! The tart/sticky retro texture was not good....after thickening it added 2bergers which brought it back down to earth but only thanks for the recipe @ √DoctorChocoyote 1.
